It took us a few month to meet each other. We just could not find a date when all the 3 of us were in Budapest.
Jørgen at that time lived in Norway, Karoline in China, wedding plans in here.
Their relationship, their love started here. They came back to start their married life.
We went back to the university where Jørgen studied. Took pictures at their favourite hotel where they stay every time they come to Budapest. My favourite part was at the Keleti train station. Where they first kissed each other. We went back to the same platform. Travelling in time…
All their guest came from abroad, as well as the salmon. Their ceremony was in Norvegian. Few years ago I photographed their friend’s wedding. But it was still very different.
I wish they had video of the wedding. The bride sang with her friend who was pop singer. The music of the slideshow is her song. It made so many eyes wet. So did the prayers of the parents.
While the party was exactly on the opposite side. After long hours of the dinner and speeches (common on Norvegian weddings) their first dance was real fun. Everyone joined in a choreography that was not very common wedding dance. At least not for my eyes.
Great locations, small details, joy, history and emotions.
Karoline and Jørgen now lives in Africa. That place is on my bucket list…
ps. If you think her bouquet is a bit old fashioned you are right. 🙂
It is a copy of her grandmother’s wedding bouquet.
